Photojournalism is simply telling a story with photographs. The emphasis is on the real, natural moments and capturing the spirit of the day. I will also take more traditional photos that also capture and record your special day such as family portraits, wedding rings, bridal parties, before and after the ceremony poses… Even these are created in a way that emphasizes the passion between the couple. The engagement session is done on location within the San Diego area. The purpose of the sessions is two-fold. First is to provide you with beautiful engagement pictures to include in your invitations, local newspapers, and as keepsakes. You may want to incorporate an Engagement Signature Board in your wedding (guests sign this wonderful memento). Second is to have a chance to get to know you better. It will help me understand your personal style and understand your expectations. It also helps you become more comfortable being in front of the camera.
My packages include absolutely everything you want on your special day at an exceptional price! My assistant and I will cover all aspects of your wedding day from the preparation through your events at the reception. I use a blend of Photojournalistic (candid shots) along with Traditional. My job is to document your wedding day as it unfolds and use only the best equipment to ensure quality.
Yes, all images are available in color, B&W and romantic sepia. I shoot completely digitally with only the best equipment to assure quality. This allows me to capture the images in color and decide after the fact what to change or enhance in another creative way.
I am skilled in Adobe Photoshop, a software program that acts as my darkroom, and can easily remove blemishes, under eye lines, or soften the appearance of skin. Minor enhancements can be done for no additional charge. For complicated or extensive retouching, an additional charge will apply.
This service allows you to view your wedding proofs anytime you want from
anywhere in the world with an Internet connection. In addition, there is no
more need for your out-of-town family and friends to miss out on ordering
reprints for themselves. Once your proofs are ready, I will upload them all
to a web gallery where everyone that's important to you can view and order
images from your special day. Because payment is collected directly through
the site and prints are shipped directly to your family or friends, you
don't have to worry about coordinating everyone's reprint orders!
